Ramadhan classes at Madrasah Qaasim ul ‘Ilm

Various classes will be taking place at Madrasah Qaasim ul ‘Ilm during the month of Ramadhan, for eager students who are keen to learn to read the Qur’an, memorise the Qur’an or learn more about Islam.

Classes take place in the LE1 area of Leicester and will run throughout Ramadhan. Some of the classes taking place are:

• 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm, Mondays to Fridays nazirah class, for children

• 7pm to 8pm, Mondays to Fridays, for adults

• 10am to 12pm and 12.15pm to 2.15pm, for children

• Various ‘one to one’ classes throughout the week that may be arranged with the Madrasah.

Oreo biscuits are Haraam

According to their website, Oreo biscuits are not Halal as the cream contains alcohol. Muslims are advised to be very cautious about what they eat because ‘suitable for vegetarians’ does not necessarily mean Halal.
